The Bowman, Barrett & Associates civil engineering department typically provides feasibility, Phase I and Phase II engineering studies for clients that include state and local government agencies, municipalities, and developers.
These projects are usually complex and may include the following responsibilities:
- Drainage studies with design plans
- Freeway, highway, and arterial studies and evaluation
- Production of design plans and solutions for urban freeway reconstruction
- Site plans, parking lots, and roadways for residential and urban developers
- Traffic maintenance plans for the safe control of traffic during construction
- Transportation projects that involve interactions with major bridges, retaining walls, railways, and other features
- Urban interchange studies (either service or system interchanges) which include the development of interchange alternatives
