Former Cook County Highway Dept. Structural Division Head Joins Engineering Firm
Chicago, IL — January 16, 2004 - Bowman, Barrett & Associates Inc.
(BB&A) announces the appointment of Christos C. Bilissis, PE, SE, to the
position of Senior Structural Engineer. Bilissis has experience with project
and staff supervision, structural design, estimate preparation, economic analysis
for proposed projects and construction procedure development.
Bilissis spent a total of 26 years employed by the Cook County Highway Department
(CCHD), supervising transportation related projects. Most recently, he served
for the past nine years as the CCHD's Structural Division Head.
Bilissis is an active member of the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois,
the American Public Works Association, the American Institute of Steel Construction,
the American Concrete Institute and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
He is a registered professional engineer in Illinois and Wisconsin and a licensed
structural engineer in Illinois. Bilissis earned his BSCE from the Illinois
Institute of Technology.
