Firm Announces New Head of Civil Engineering Department
Chicago, IL – November 18, 2003 - Bowman,
Barrett & Associates Inc. (BB&A) announces the appointment
of Richard W. Stafford, PE to the position of Civil Department
Manager. Stafford has over 18 years of experience specializing
in operational and design aspects of transportation engineering.
His work concentrates on operational analysis, alternatives development
and plan preparation. Stafford’s experience also includes
traffic systems, such as urban arterial street system and signal
systems analysis.

Previously, Stafford served as the Senior Transportation Engineer
with CH2M Hill in Chicago, IL. He is an active member of the
Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Transportation
Research Board’s Committee on the "Operational Effects
of Geometrics.” Stafford is a licensed professional engineer
in Illinois and earned his BSCE in 1985 from the Michigan Technological
University.
