Jacob Cross acted at a judge at the annual Future City Competition at HNTB this January. The competition is a national, project-based learning experience where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade imagine, design and build cities of the future. Jake said the following of the competition. "The Future City Competition was a lot of fun and had a great turn-out this year. It was interesting to see how much these students know about engineering and city planning already, only being in middle school. What surprised me the most was how much I learned from these kids and from listening to other professionals discuss their areas of expertise. It was truly an educational experience for everyone who participated. I'm definitely going to do it again next year and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys getting involved in these types of events."
